2010 NSW CUP
Western Suburbs Magpies and the Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers will feature in a heritage showdown at Henson Park to kick start the 2010 NSW Cup season on Saturday, March 13.
The double header heritage matches will kick off at 3pm with the North Sydney Bears taking on the Western Suburbs Magpies followed by the showdown between the Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers and the Newtown Jets at 5pm.
This will allow Wests Tigers supporters the chance to then head out to the Sydney Football Stadium two days later for the opening round clash at home against Manly Sea Eagles on Monday, March 15, from 7pm.
Following round one of the NSW Cup competition, the remaining 25 weeks will be on a home and away basis with one spare representative weekend which will coincide with the NSW v Qld Residents match.
Twelve teams will contest the 2010 NSW Cup – Auckland Vulcans, Canterbury–Bankstown Bulldogs, Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers, Central Coast Centurions, Cronulla Sharks, Melbourne Storm, Newtown Jets, North Sydney Bears, Shellharbour Dragons, Windsor Wolves, Wentworthville Magpies and Western Suburbs Magpies. The NSW Cup is a feeder competition to many of the sides that participate in the NRL.

The NSW Cup is the oldest Rugby League competition in Australia and is now in its 102nd season.
Come along and watch footy the way its meant to be. Tough, hard and fast, held at traditional grounds, between traditional rivals and with reasonable entry fees.
